    Fuel pump tweak issue

If you pump too much fuel does it carbonise or clog the injectors prematurely?

? Petrol or diesel? Injection system? Pump pressure? Volume being pumped? Do you know how much your pumping compared to standard. The questions can go on and on but without knowing firstly what fuel you run it's a mute point.

Why? General knowledge or you are caking injectors?

gunna guess diesel since you cant tweak the petrol fuel pump...

yeah do it all wrong and you can get some issues but id be more worried about EGT than the injectors.

Sorry guys for being so vague. Yes 300tdi with EGT blanked and TD04 turbo. I recently had the pump turned up to what I don't know. I replaced the injectors too and all was great. When I recently pulled one of the injectors to check after sluggish performance it looked pretty black and worse than the previous injectors that I had replaced. I wondered if maybe I was pumping too much fuel???
