    Cheap alternator for 3.5 Disco

    Fried the alternator on the '93 V8 Disco on Saturday...rear bearing RS, broken brush and regulator RS.


    Being a tight a#@^%, what I came up with today was a 70amp A127 replacement, already fitted with the tacho terminal. Original was 65amp.


    Made as a replacement for some Massey Ferguson and Ford tractors.......Bare Co part No B8800, List price of about $157....trade about $115.


    Change pulley for original Disco one, modify B+ wiring (alt has 2 x 9.5mm spade terminals), bolt it on and good to go.
