Straighten it and see how close to centred it becomes. Put the exhaust back into it's rubber hanger while you're there.

Your AC power consumption sounds horrendous. The temperature cut-out will help, but it's likely not all of it.

Thats not right mines got the same mounts but there straight there's your elignement problem

Was replacing with new thats how i noticed the difference in brackets.

Mines 95 or 96 something like that ile get some pics if you like I recon your mounds are definitely bent

I dont need photos thanks though. I have a 95 in my shop that also has straight ones. My thinking was maybe the later years changed... Sounds like the general agreement is mine is bent.

Must of had a solid pounding to bend them up hope it all works out mate

The other side of the A frame could now be under a fair bit of tension, so watch things don't fly about when you go to undo those parts.

I have two, a '97 and '98 models sitting in my yard, I will check and see if either of them are like the one in your photo but I doubt they are, that vehicle has had some sort of major hit or something, even though pommy engineering can be a bit "Heath Robinson" sometimes I seriously doubt it left the factory like that.
