Thread: Tips for new player looking at buying

First off, Gday all, great and active forum you've got here.

We have had quite a few landys in the family, all old workhorses on the farm so ive got a soft spot for them obviously.

I'm looking for a "cheap" bus for a run about and to tow my bike trailer, fuel economy isn't really an issue as it would only do about 50-80km per week.

I've noticed that there are some 2001ish V8 discos for around the 5-6k mark. I'm pretty good at hearing those odd knocks and feint sounds a car makes when its not quiet right, but i know nothing about these cars or what to watch out for.

Any tips would be appreciated.

I'm sure this question is asked on a regular basis but i couldn't find it, there is a sticky on the D2 section though.

hey mate youve posted that in the wrong area. 2000-2001 would be a D2 so maybe try posting it there. If your trying to search use the search on the bottom left of the page. the one up the top is rubbish
