Yes it's an auto. That's a massive help. I had thought the converter was engaged but obviously it hasn't. I'll get back into it on Thursday and try again. Thanks mate, big help.

If you look up Ashcrofts website there is a list somewhere on there that lists the various depths for the torque converter from the face of the bell housing depending on which box it is. I don't have a link but saw it on there a couple of years ago.
