Your thread title asks if they will fit 16" rims. They will if the rim is wide enough.
For that, you need to go to the tyre manufacturer's website and check the rim width required for that tyre.
I know there is thousands of posts out there about tyre size and what will and wont fit but am getting alot of conflicting information from major cutting including rear doors to fits with minor cutting and slight lift.
Im seriously thinking of fitting some and as currently I have 265/75 fitted. Which people have claimed need a 2" lift to fit of which I currently don't have yes I have a very minor camel cut and front bumper has been trimmed but no rubbing ever so far and that is with saggy springs.
So it really makes me wonder fitting 255/85 should be relatively easy I would think as its only another 1.5" larger than what I currently have with saggy suspension so therefor on paper it looks like they should be fit without a problem. Yes ok I think practically a 2"suspension lift would be required.
Im interested in hearing from people who have fitted 33" tyres and what was required to do so, wanting real world advice from people who have fitted this size to their disco not just people saying they cant fit as the amount of people I have heard say 265/75 doesn't fit without a suspension lift even though I currently have them fitted is amazing.

the 255/85 tyre also needs to be 16 inch
At 42 mm less on the radius compared to the 265/75 16 ( that's 84mm overall ) height wont be a problem , but the extra width might scrub on lock and flex. The 285/55 16 will be a much lower tyre than what you have now. Without googling specs on min rim width ,( you can do that ) I would guess at least an 8 inch wheel , and 8.5 preferred.
285/55 ?, sure you havent got that arse about again. 255/85/16 is approx. 33" and will fit a stock disco 7"rim BUT, you will need a lift .
Your 32"s may fit now without rubbing but as soon as your suspension goes thru any decent articulation you will get more rubbing than a masseur named Sven.
If you plan on offset rims then you will need flares as well.

It also all depends on rim offset as to weather they fit. With the standard rim offset they should fit and tuck under without guard cut but will need a good 2"lift and camel cut. The simex tyres I had fitted measured about the same as the ones your looking at. They will reduce your turning circle though but you get use to it. They also sap all it's power and drink like a fish. Just miss the rear door but tuck up in the guards. Just remembered I also had to remove the mud flap steel plate and flatten it out. I never put them back on though.

Lift is irrelevant if the axles can still compress to the std bumpstops.
Get into a spot where the rear can compress one side hard to the bumpstops and check your clearance with the 265/75's. My disco now has two bent rear 1/4's from 245/75's on +26 rims grabbing the camel cut guards on full compression.
