Thread: 300tdi surging

Have just changed engine and gearbox in sons d1,after much searching finally found fuel solenoid and got it started.Engine idles nice,revs up ok but when you release throttle it surges and runs crap.Re start and idles fine.Engine ran fine in donor disco.Any thoughts?Hope all wires are in right place,told son and mate to label everything before removing,but what would i know
