Hi X and how often do you drive your D1, and when you drive it, how long is each trip ( average drive time )?
I have a '91 petrol disco and the battery,(12 months old) cant seem to hold a charge more than two weeks?!?
Ive been through the fusebox and removed clock, radio, and other but it still "leaks".
How can I check the stationary draw and is there anything I can do about this?
Cheers

Is the top of the battery clean? If not that can cause a slow discharge.

^^^ Yes ^^^
I have a RRC and my brother has a D1 .... both are subject to long term storage (2 weeks)
Both models drain the battery ..... (Batteries are good quality)
Solutions are ......
(1) .... Disconnect the Negative lead of the battery for long term storage.
or
(2) ... Buy a Solar panel and hook it up to the battery and let it trickle charge it.
I disconnect mine .... Brother uses a el cheapo solar panel and leaves it on the dash charging (parked outside)
Cheers

Grab a multimeter and connect between negative terminal and negative clamp then you disconnect clamp from the terminal. That will give you leaking current if the battery is nor self discharging internally.
Sent from my GT-I9305T using AULRO mobile app
Engine off. Listen for any buzzing or hum noise from alternator. Once had blown diodes that allowed battery to drain.
G'day mate.
I have the same problem, going flat in 4 days! I checked the current draw at the battery 1.12 amps. I removed the fuses one at a time checking the current draw each time, fuse no 20 radio internal lights & engine remobilisation is the one that's causing my drain. I pulled that fuse and the drain is only .3amp. Don't know what the problem is yet!!!!

My trailer electric brake controller was draining mine.
G'day mate i had the same drama a while ago,it turned out to be a loose earth strap.
