I bought a double ended one, TDI and v8 are different sizes, check paddocks for the sizes. Never tried just a thin one, The rover ones have a crank on them too.
Check engine and belt rotation, they are opposite thread to rotation, so left handed on TDI, right handed on v8 I believe.
The perished panhard rod bush may be atf power steering fluid eating it, it definitely softens it and causes early fail.
Setting rappers is soooo much easier using the wheel method.
