Thread: snorkel - non abs

hey all, just searching for a snorkel, NON ABS
just wondering if anybody has one of these kits, where the intake goes the long way around (see pic) under the main air pipe to the filter
VS
the shorter way direct from the snorkel to the filter box (which appear more expensive)
I imagine the shorter would be far more efficient at providing greater air flow
I guess what i'm really asking is will the cheap (longer) option be any worse ?

I have the same type on my TDI and dont believe it would make any difference if it used a more direct route - on a hi performance V8 it might but not on an RV8 or TDI.
