Yes, sorta.
Had a 3.9 D1 that we inherited from the sis-in-law. It had just has the timing case seal replaced, which leaked almost straight away. The mechanics that done it informed her it would need a full engine rebuild as the crank must be bent ????
When I changed it, I found the seal they had fitted was not in straight. They don't push up to a shoulder, so I made a installation tool to seat the seal square and to the required depth. It didn't leak after that.
Also check the crankcase breather system is not blocked. The port where the vapours are drawn into the throttle body can get blocked with gunk over time.
