    Windscreens

Hello o wizened ones, I have two rovers, one range rover classic and one series 1 discovery, it seems just by looking and by basic measurements that the windscreen and it's up surrounding metal work are the same, does any one know if this is true, are they the same windscreen, need to replace the disco screen and would like to use a range rover windscreen rubber to mount it rather than having it bonded in. Any ideas? My disco surrounds is not in very good condition and a range rover full rubber is much cheaper and looks like it doesn't trap rubbish as much as the disco one. Any advise much lay appreciated.
    Thanks in advance, Jim

    What year is the D1?
With the 1995MY, the screen was bonded to the body & I assume is a different size to the early D1.

Looking below the outside panel work. Most of the internal body structure, framing ect look the same 😳

Does the Disco have SRS airbags? If so, it'll be a bonded screen & it needs to be that way due to the design of the SRS system.

No air bags, further research using Dr Google, seems to suggest both types of vehicles came down the line side by side and thegeneral consensus is that landrover would have shared as much as possible between the two models, hopefully somebody knows for sure or maybe I just go for it and try.

I'd be interested in the answer to this one. Have to replace my 92 D1 windscreen rubber and if the RRC one is a better fit then that'd be my choice.
It's better to regret the things you've done than those you haven't!

MA to WA (MA, TA, VA, WA) are all bonded.

A 1994 without airbags indicates it's an LA which was the last Disco with a regular screen rubber.
