Have you done a transmission filter change recently? The shift cable clamp above the left TC mount can get moved in the process preventing correct transmission engagement. Even if you haven't, check it hasn't come loose.

Yeah, I replaced the 2 gearbox mounts the other week so I reckon this also may have added to the problem as well. I just got under the car to look for the cable. Gave it a bit of a wiggle and it moved slightly forward. This fixed both my issues. So it looks I need to adjust this cable then.....

You wont have EDC so not sure if that diagram is correct for your vehicle.

Question WHERE in the Service Manual does it show Auto Cable Adjustment??

    Guys,
I had a look through the Rave Manual and I can't seem to find where it shows adjusting the Auto Trans Cable.....

Can anyone point me in the right direction so I can sort of understand what's involved ??

If you have made the Park position functional by just moving the cable around a bit, just loosen the clamp and re tighten it into a better postion. The clamp tightens around the cable outer, so any movement of it is an adjustment in itself. I don't remember for sure, but the clamp bracket might be slotted.
