    Panhard rod bush bolts.

Got new bushes, couldn't get the old ones out without a lot of effort, so abandoned that idea for the arvo, and just slotted in the two new bolts.

99.9% of those annoying Hippy Hippy shakes now eliminated.
no slack in steering over badly broken tarmac at least.

    slight tremors at freeway speeds.
I'll balance the wheels again, and see how much it smooths out that last 0.1%(at 100k/h).

Have to find someone with a press to make light work of the old bush removal .... one day.

So after 12months of having no air con I finally got it fixed 10mins ago......... YEAH

Basically, the coil fried itself , big melt down.

went to a few places all advised new aircon compressor required $1100
    answer to that was NO.

did a bit... no a lot of googling and bout a new coil, installed it and aircon was constantly on (more on that latter) until the clutch let go. lasted 2wks. that was 12 months ago.

so recently got on alibaba and found the correct part.

it arrived yesterday and installed today.

realized that the little 10mm bolt washer goes between the clutch outer and inner to give clearance. i had it directly on the 10mm bolt above.

still no joy...hmm check fuses... fuse blown. replace fuse...

    result cooollll air.

    Drove it.
Upper Buffalo, over the GDR, into Hummfray valley, through about 10 river crossings, up Wombat spur, into Talbotville area, onto Dargo High plains road, out to Blue Rag trig point, over to Hotham, up to MT Murray and home via the Buckland valley and Porepunkah over 3 glorious days.
DIsco didnt miss abeat and did njot lose traction at any time. Meanwhile my friend in his 79 ute scrambled and slipped on the steeper parts especillay Blue Rag rd.
The twin true trac diffs make the Disco really sure footed in this kind of country.

Yesterday I fitted an Engine Watch Dog thingy to my Disco.

I already have a low water alarm on the expansion tank but it doesn't give a temp read out.

New discs and pads, hubs regressed and adjusted with new seals and lock washers.
Discovered my steering box is leaking and shock bushes all need replacing.

Had on the weekend reassembled my Hickey winch with a all new motor. Today I took the winch to work. After work I used their pump up table trolley to install the winch. Oh so easy. Winch sits in a cradle, so just sat the cradle/winch on the trolley, rolled it under the front, pumped up the trolley as required, slid bolts back in and job done. Now at my leisure I have to just reconnect the cables, fit the fair lead and the drum disengagement lever.

Well I got the fair lead and drum disengagement Lever fitted. Connected the cables. Winch ran for a bit. Bonzer, then it stopped, bugger. The over ten year old solenoids gave up, shuffled of there mortal coils as they say. They where a tigers 11 solenoid unit. So now have to get a new solenoid unit. I`m guessing that the old ones did not like the extra current the new motor pulled.

Fitted a new solenoid unit and the winch goes. Goes to well, second battery does not keep up.
