    Productive weekend!

Had my new budget Haida tyres fitted yesterday, and today fitted the six LED Great White light bar that came off my BT50 work ute I traded to the roofbar, wired to the high beams. The light bar on the XRox bar is wired to the aux battery via a switch for extra light offroad. Also fitted a rear mount awning to complement the side one. Also replaced the original damaged & rusted rear bar yesterday for a good straight one, and traded my unused swing down step for assistance fitting it from the seller. Thanks Yann!
    Cheers William

    Finally

Finally got to drive her again last night. took a few months for the work. still a couple of things to do but at least it drives.drove really nicely too. very queit, a lot of the driveline rattles she had before are gone or seem less noisy. felt pretty happy with it. can't just quite properly drive it though as i still need to fix top bolt on slave cylinder. getting a shop to do that for me on wed. after that, will be my daily again and my wife can have her car back.

    Things I just did:

    new rear main seal
    new spigot bush
    machined flywheel
    new HD complete clutch kit
    new gearbox and tcase seals
    regreased all shafts
    new bolts on all shafts
new rotoflex joint and tailshaft spigot
new breather lines from gearbox and tcase
cleaned out and regreased tcase gear selector housing

i think that is it. i couldnt post pics as i have posted them already on the threads which i have been posting since starting this job.

next job is replace all the power steering lines and change the fluid.
change all the cooling system hoses, thermostat and replace coolant.
clean out intercooler and change all IC hoses.
    INSTALL EMS2 MADMAN. Finally.

New seals in my front Air Leaker - now it is actually an Air Locker again

Checked the wheel bearings, hub swivels, ball joints, brake pads and bushes in the front end along the way.

That wouldn't be the one just out of Tom Price would it, on Bingarn Rd? If so, Ade pointed it out to me and I checked it out in my D1 in January. Bloody great holes in the track you could lose a Nissan Micra in, and a wicked turn towards the top. Really nice view from up there though! And I agree about the payments too..... Ha Ha
