Saw your other post about still not working. Now you have the wiring diagram and can identify the wire for the light coming off the relay, maybe try a test light piggybacked onto the dash light wire in the section close to the relay. If it works you know its circuit related and you can track it to the dash light, if not then probably its the relay but at least you'd know.

Railey bought a new relay and still no change so possibly the problem is in the cluster.

    Indicator fault

Seems as my indicator troubles persist... All external lamps work fine. It's the damned dash light that blinks intermittently when the indicator is on in either direction. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.( it doesn't when it's in for the RWC test. Imagine that....) Sometimes it blinks 2 or 3 times then stops. I have swapped relays to no avail. Please help!!

    Thanks in advance as always....

Still stumped. Could it be the stalk? The left side works but not right.. Replaced globes, cleaned the contacts and put new connectors on, etc and no luck.

hook up a trailer if you have and see if the trailer indicator warning behaves the same or it works normally...it's important to diagnose this...unfortunately there are no connector views available for your car

if you watch the diagram you'll see that the trailer indicator warning(51) is in parallel with the dash indicator warning but on different contact of the flasher unit if you see what i mean, it's important to see if both are working the same or not cos as long as the indicators are working well just the warning doesnt the problem is between the relay and the dash

Mine does something similar. All external indicators work ok, but the dash light flashes once, then stops....every time. Indicator stalk is new.

Irritating isn't it? Mine got picked for a RWC and this is the LAST thing I need to fix and it's driving me nuts. Out of frustration, I swapped the leads on the back of the console to the trailer light on dash because that one was blinking constant....

So in other words, the dash indicator light is actually hooked up to the trailer light circuit....only way I could get it to work, but now even that just works intermittently......

How did you go with this?

Mine got knocked for the dash light not working on a rego check last week. All I could get hold of on short notice was a standard 3 pin electronic flasher can. Plugged straight in to where the 5 pin was. Only thing that didn't work was the trailer tell tail.
