    D1 Complete Body swap

Nan's V8 D1 has some rust issues and I have a donor parts car that has a good body. Has anyone done a complete body swap as I am thinking this maybe easier that fixing the rusty bits ??

Depending on where the rust is and how bad it may well be simpler to swap bodies, never done it but having a parts vehicle side by side will definitely make it easier but its still a big job.

The worst spots are the alpine windows and above the front screen. The top of the rear wheel arches is showing (external) signs as well because of the water sneaking in from the alpine windows.

I had the rust cut out of both those areas last year. Much easier to do that, rather than a complete body swap.

If the body of the parts car is exceptional then i be inclined to do the swap, but for those area's it will be much more painless doing repairs as cripes mentioned.
