    stepper motor or air idle valve

    anyone ever tryed cleaning up the stepper motor on the back of the plenum chamber at all???, my old girl seem to stay at 1000 reves after many 1000s of back fires on gas
    or is it a complete replacement job?

    I have on the side of the road with WD40 and a baby wipe, worked a charm but if I was home I would have used some throttle body/carby cleaner.
