I'm not sure you would have to check your states transport authorities. You might get away with a 32s or 265/75/16 without a body lift.

265/75/16's i have heard will fit without flares and since i have already ordered the flares and will fit them i want to fit the biggest i can with a 2" lift and flares on stock wheels.
Saves me wanting to go bigger later when i just spent $1500 on tyres.
Also any tricks with the wheel carrier to get 33's to fit on it?

Wind some spare wheel nuts on first.

You can't body lift a vehicle with airbags, at all.
Since it appears my advice on checking out the LRA site with the mods needed to fit wasn't followed, here it is.
LRA Tyre sizes and Mods Required.
A D1 will not fit 33" rubber without a body lift, 32" is as far as you can go before needing to go down that path.

I was just reading above information on that site as I'm considering fitting this kit to a 97 D1 with airbags. In the D2 section it mentions it is possible to disable the airbags in the D1 because it also came out in 97 without airbags. So it may be possible to have this kit installed and have it approved depending on your year model D1.

I did read it but as you an see in this thread people have told me that I can fit 33"s under? That site also didn't give width that I can fit. I'm sure there used to be a site that gave every size you can and cannot fit in 245/75/16 type format. How wide of a 32" could I fit? I have heard 265/75/16s a lot but I'll have flares so could I go wider?
This is true but as it's my every day driver I like the idea of the air bags there just in case. I could disable then then get it approved for lift then enable them again I guess. I'll have to look into it.
