Thread: What roof racks are people using on their disco ones?

Do u know what is the length of the legs are and what sort of height above the roof the bars sit?

Looking for myself and not sure if they look a bit out of place.....

do u have any photos at all?

I'll have to measure the gap and leg sizes for you, the prorack one is called the tradesman kit and the rhinorack ones up front i got from roofrack city and they just matched the kit to the prorack ones, they did comment on the quality of the the prorack kit...

I have a set of Thule roof bars and they are a 280mm leg.

As for height above roof I'd have to measure, do you want the measurement from the roof to the top of the bars or the clearance between the roof and the bottom of the bars?

I think the front ones look out of place but because of the shape of the roof there is nothing you can do. I have been toying with the idea of putting a frame under the front to hold my table, it;s a pain to fit in the back

Did you have any trouble mounting the awning to the bars? Most of the awnings i've been looking at seem to be designed to fit a full roof rack

Hannibal have an alloy rack (slideout ladder), really solid & well made, easy to walk on for loading and tying down, continual support strip along gutters.

In fact I don't use the ladder, it's more convenient to use the rear bumper, door handle and spare as steps. I've added plastic pipe tanks under the sides.

I have been using a pair of rinho racks since i bouvhg my D1, about 18 months ago i bought 4wd systems half rack off ebay for a huge $16.
Didnt have any mounting legs but i have them done and will finish when i'm able to get back into the shed.
I miss having a full rack like i did on my rangie but the half will handy for day trips or hardware runs.
