    350,000k 300 Tdi Auto Fuel Test

    Well 349,750k to be precise but, I filled up at the local servo, drove to Kingscliff to dog sit for my brother, pulled in to aforementioned servo on return with
    304.8 on the odometer & took on 26.6 litres (from the same pump).
    So, my calcs are....
    11.46 k/litre
    i.e. 8.73 litres/100k


    I'm happy (except for the fwits on the Brisso-Goldie motorway)

    That's a great result..... what size tyres are u running? 265/75/16 ??

    That is a good result My 300 Tdi auto has about 308,000km and the best I can get is 10.53 litres per 100km. Probably the lift, roof racks, roof basket, winch & winch bar and sidesteps causing extra drag. And a heavy right foot

    11-12 with 265's. i doubt his calcs are correct, even on an economy run best i ever got out of a stock tdi auto was 9l/100 and that was driving like a granny.

    Running,brand new last week, 265/75/16 Cooper ST Maxx.
    This is the route I basically took so their distance is a bit out to mine
    i.e. further 320k return!
