Drivers electric window stopped

Recently my drivers window decided to stop working.
Additionally when i purchased the car the back windows some times worked and other times didnt.
After reading (thanks to aulro) i realized my window ecu may need to be soldered to get the back to work. Plenty info on that subject right here at aulro.
Well because my drivers failed i decided it was time to look at it.
Checked out the ecu board and noticed the common back windows pin to be faulty. So i fixed that. Back windows work perfect now. However this did not fix my drivers issue.
Checked the ecu board again and noticed the faintest of faint lines around another pin. Decided to give that a new coating of solder and BINGO!
My drivers window is working again.
Anyway here is an image of the 2 pins i soldered.
I assume the top one is for the drivers window as when i soldered that it fixed my problem.

I did mine last year after the kids were complaining of not being able to open the windows , took more time to get the ECU out than re-solder the pins.

Yep thats for sure. My kids will be more than a little happy they have windows now.

I had to take it out twice before i found the top one.
Even had to take it out in the sun light to see the small imperfection.

My 98 disco front windows stopped working the other day and I was able to get them again working by taking the switches out of the console and prising them open with a small flat blade screwdriver ( with the switch facing upwards so that the little contacts didn't fall out ) and spraying them with electrical contact cleaner. I also sprayed the connector plugs and pins. You could probably get spray into the switch without opening them up. It does seem weird that they stopped working at the same time but but a bit of crap was flushed out of them and I did clean and test each switch as I went so it did seem to be the problem. I just thought I would mention that in case anyone had a similar problem but a good ecu. Thanks for the pics though as my back windows don't work and
it's not the switches.

my rear windows dont work if you press the buttons on the doors but will work with the front switches. except the passenger side rear will go down but no go back up again. i pulled one of the other switches out and plugged it into the rear left wiring and the window goes up and down. so seems to be more of a switch problem for me.

the fact that the rear switches do nothing though, is this still attributed to the ECU? even though the front switches work?

I agree with you Fausto79 it seems to be a switches issue not a cpu one.
