315/75 on discovery one 16x7 rim

Gday fellas just wondering if 315/75 will fit on my standard 16x7 discovery rims and will I get chassis rub. I'm currently running a 4" lift and about to get the grinder out for rear guards and possibly fronts. Not concerned about turning circle.
    Cheers

No not a chance - that's a very wide tyre -I'm not even sure if an 8" rim would cut it.

Thats it, youd be at an 8" rim as a minimum and often enough 8.5" is specified. You need to check individual tyre specifications for rim width range because rthey vary.

Also with the standard offset disco rims I'd guess the inner edge of the tyre would would be sitting at a line that would put it inside the spring - ie you wouldn't be able to fit the tyre to the vehicle anyway even if you put it on the 7" rim. You'll need a big offset maybe -25 but I'm not certain.

I've read heaps of people are running 315 on 7" rims on jeeps and so on, so was just curious if anyone has on a disco. Inner rubbing was am my major concern cause of offset

Gotta pick up another 2 Discos in a week or two (for parts cars). One has 16 x 8 sunnies (maybe +10 or so offset???) on it with bald 315/75's. Steering lock is basically non existant. Touches the rear of the front wheel arches with a slight turn of the steering. Will be changing wheels before I even try to get it on a trailer. They would definatly rub on the radius arms with std rims....lots.

Thinking wider rims, more offset, cut guards + flares, 2" bodylift and possibly some bumpstop spacing would be a minimum before you could run these. Then there is the gearing issue.....
