    Sticking throttle

    300tdi auto has got a nasty habit of the throttle sticking flat to the floor any one come across it ? I'm hoping its not kick down cable related

    Also it can only be replicated while its running wont stick while its off

    Disconnect the cable from the throttle arm on the pump and see if the throttle arm is sticking open, if not the problem is with the cable, try getting some lube, Inox or WD40, down the cable, if the cable is buggered you will have to drop the box sump to fit a new one, good luck.     Check where your throttle cable is routed.

    Mine was always had to press the accelerator and used to stick every now and then.
    I had a look at someone elses cable and it was routed different to mine, when I changed it, it was easier to press the accelerator and has never stuck since (touch wood) :-)

    Sprayed the hell out of every thing and had a play with the throttle cabble seems miles too long goes up and around the booster ect any how it has not played up since fingers crossed its fixed really.
