Forgot to mark my oil cooler pipes. I know it should make sense but the pipe coming out of oil thermostat goes to top or bottom of radiator?
On mine the one that comes out closest to the engine block goes to the top. #11 in this diagram.

Head face has these marks on them, looks to be from manufacturing, liquid of some sort.
Carby cleaner won't remove them.
Ideas?
And another question? My elring gasket seems to be a little bent/ warped as shown on picture. The metal ring around the piston holes seems a bit bent too. Should i get new one or it's ok?
could be leftover juice from the chemical hardening process. give it some love with the rough side of the yellow green sponge when you have it all dry if you have a nice matt finish you are good to go.
if you cant get it back to matt use some toothpaste or a baking soda mix just make sure to wash it all of very very thoroughly.
Its hard to tell due to the reflected light but you may already be at the required finish level, a shot of the face in natural indirect light with no flash would be helpful to work that out.
I have heard tell of people putting in worse and having it survive. I cant see if theres a crease in the fire ring or the material. if theres a crease, replace it, same if there is any evidence of obvious delamination or tearing.

That was in natural light during the daybut yea it's all matte looking just has drip marks or more like running liquid down the face which ive tried for a long time to clean off but nothing budges.
No creasing in the fire rings just a bit bent and fairly clean and good looking otherwise.
guessing you have skylights or louvered windows.
fairly confident that the traces you're seeing are from the hardening process that hasnt been washed off properly.
you could probably get them off with a 12 inch grinder with an 80 grit wheel in it but you have to go steady with the feed rate and pressure.![]()

Yea looks like some manufacturing liquid like what you say. Tried a lot of things to clean it, seems like 80grit grinding disc would be the only thing that would work. Apart from destroying the head.
