D1 V8 running too hot?
Does anyone else have a Temperature monitor on their V8?
I have my Temperature Alarm sensor mounted on the thermostat housing.
In traffic on say a 26 degree day it can run anywhere between 87 - 94.
On a warm day, it can get up to 100 sitting in traffic for a while.
Recently on a 29 degree late arvo , with a light trailer going up hill , it got to 105?
It has recently had the Viscous fan replaced and a new thermostat ?
The radiator is also all good and was recored and replaced about 2 years ago!

Not unusual numbers. If you run really crap coolant I used to notice in my old V8 that it would make a couple of degrees difference. If you're going up a long hill with a trailer and it looks like its getting to 100+ I used to whack the heater on for 5. Brings it back down 5-7 degrees.

Did you get a chance to ensure all your hoses were clear when you serviced the rad? My 3.5 got build up at that little t intersection off the bottom of the reservoir. I pulled the lower pipe off and fished around in there and it did release a bit of muck. I remember hearing it is occasionally an issue.
