Both times my temp was sitting on normal but it just wouldnt hold coolant, which is how i knew it was blown.
Otherwise it was running fine , this time i could have reused the head but i was lucky enough to get a near new used head to bolt straight on.
I went with the MLS gasket after advice from Ritter where i bought the gasket and from reading posts by Tank and others .

You shouldnt have a gasket problem already so i'd look at an air lock or failure of components in the cooling system.

Hope not. Went into something so much effort to get everything right. Was your block flat? I know Dave was saying that max he would go for mls was 2thou. I think, don't quote me exactly on it but basically you want both surfaces very flat.

The fact something blew from pressure though has me worried. With airlock it would have heated the head up a bit. Hopefully just tank cap. That would be sweet.
