When it rains it pours in Land Rover Land. High oil pressure and Low seat pressure.....
Snapped the darn seat sling. Anyone know if they can be purchased or might be best just to buy a used seat seeing there seem to be a lot being wrecked.

Exmoor trim in the UK offers new seat diaphragms but given the dollar at the moment it may be cheaper to source some good 2nd hand seats locally as you suggest or ask a motor trimmer to quote on fixing.
i got one not long ago from dls in the uk
was cheaper than the local auto trimmers quote and was only an hours work to fit.

This happened in my old D1 and I took the seat base out and taped it up using black cloth tape. Cost $15 for a roll, wgich i didnt use all of, and the seat was way comfier than before.
It was an effort getting it back in as the tape doesn't stretch like the rubber, but at $15 and a bit of DIY effort it worked really well!
Cheers

You could swap the fronts seats left to right and make it the passengers problem![]()
My driver's seat collapsed on a north Qld trip 3 years ago. A well positioned ratchet strap zig-zagged back and forth has held in place ever since... actually more comfortable than it was originally!
I thought about going second hand, but thought by the time I mess round getting an old Disco seat, ripping it apart and swapping the diaphragms, the replacement may only last a year (or less) anyway.
It wasn't too expensive to buy a new Exmoor diaphragm, so I bought a new Exmoor foam seat base (which my puppy promptly used his needle like teeth to take a couple of bites out of) and also replaced the lumbar support. Bought all of them from Land Rover Parts and Jaguar Spares | Britcar UK Ltd, have added some links below.

Only took around an hour to do the switch, it was pretty straight forward. When driving I felt like I was sitting in a 44 gallon drum prior, so it has made the seat 100 times more comfortable than it was - as good as a D1 seat is going to get!
