Yep..that all make sense. Pretty much what it appears to be doing.
thats how it was designed.
as the ambient temperature in the hub builds up it begins to lock more solidly
as engine RPM's increase the drag on the fan increases and it begins to slip more.
as air is forced through the radiator by vehicle movement the drag decreases so the fan speeds up to increase airflow
once the temp drops off the fan begins to slip more
in theory...
when its hot enough to need the fan to pull the air through the fan should always be working at its peak ability to draw air
when its not hot enough the fan will slip more, drawing only enough power off of the engine to provide the airflow required.

I placed the electronics into a box and mounted it on the MadMan...
viscous fan RPM, ST is shroud air temperature and RAT is just the ratio of RPM to temp. And yes, that's a huge crack in the windscreen.
