    Could Use Help Near Bundaberg

Hi, I've recently bought a Discovery 1 300Tdi and would greatly appreciate it if a member in the Bundi area knowledgeable in Disco's and/or the 300Tdi might give it a look over to make sure there's nothing I've missed that's catastrophically wrong and gonna leave me stranded or in a world of hurt when I take off on a long trip here soon.

Other than a few typical landy issues and some wear n' tear items, it seems to run and drive fine. However, I've never owned a Land Rover or a Tdi (Tiny diesel inside) so it could be utterly FUBAR for all I know.

Hopefully in a week or two I'll be heading down to a mate's near Canberra, and if I haven't been able to meet up anyone in this area, I could meet with willing help on the trek south.

Mods, if this isn't the appropriate spot for this thread since it's not a breakdown or SOS situation, I'm sorry.

Long way from you (in Canberra) but would recommend a engine temp or water check alarm, as if you loose water, by the time the temp gauge has responded it will probably be too late. Have a look in the shop. https://www.davesitshop.com/emporium/enginesaver.html

Yep I ordered one from Rover parts along with my window regulator and reverse switch when I first bought the car.

Thanks, the plan is to start heading south in the next week or so. But if I can arrange to meet with you all later I'll certainly try.

I was able to get help from Pop and Incisor in looking over my Disco so all is good there. Again a big thanks to those guys.
