So finally got around to pulling out my busted fuel pump today and there was thick sticky sludge at the bottom it was almost like caramel the previous owner said he put a new fuel pump in thinking the nutter left some sort of packaging or something at the bottom and that's what's caused it to stop working. Has anyone ever seen this before? The filter at the bottom was also crusty and hard to bend or move around is it supposed to be like that?
Not in a Landy but the pump in my Triumph Daytona but covered in a think fudge like goo that had seized the pump.
