Thread: Cheap 300 tdi injectors for Ruby

You sure you didn't just buy the nozzles? When i was looking all they had from UK were nozzles for about that price and genuine Bosch complete for about 200-250 each.

There were some cheap Chinese ones going around on eBay though, but these were usually shipped from China.

I went the real option. Even though costs heaps, like to get it done properly. That doesn't mean though, if you did get Chinese copy ones, that they aren't going to work well.

Bought the whole injector. Shipped from the Uk, origin unknown.

I'm looking forward to how they work out for 'ya!

Will keep you informed. Ruby will be taking us and a camper 1/2 way round OZ after fitting. Trial by fire..
Might pack old ones in case.

Injectors arrived and will fit tonight if I find some time.

Fitted one new injector and took it for a drive, noticeable improvement right up until the masses of smoke and serious shudder at idle. Put the old one back in and all better.
Company in the UK gave an instant refund no questions asked and don't want them back.


Soooo...anyone want to buy some injectors, 3 never used and one has 10km on it??
Going cheap.

And to finish the story ............
Original injectors taken to Baileys Diesel near Wollongong, all are bad and a new set ordered.
Ruby will be skipping down the highway soon.

New injectors fitted and a quick drive showed smoother idle and quicker acceleration and quieter running noise.
Still black smoke on startup, even when shut off and started again straight away.
Ideas?
