Trying to find the reverse light wire by the wire cluster

    Hey guys.
I'm trying to mount a new reverse camera that requires you to splice the reverse light positive and negative.

Sounds simple. But i have no idea which wires are the reverse positive and negative at the wire cluster. I have a multimeter if that helps. Pic below

I reckon the 'thingo' is almost certain to be the trailer electrical socket take off point.
ie. not where you connect the trailer socket, but what the vehicle end of the trailer socket connects too for it's power.

Yep. that 'thingo' is indeed the socket for trailer wiring. There is an accessory wiring harness that plugs into that (pigtail) to allow you to connect the plug of your choice at the trailer end and not have to splice into the vehicle wiring with scotch-locks... It's behind the RH rear tail-light.
