Thread: Transmission leaking like a tap

Hi guys,

Had to get towed out the bush over the weekend, everything felt fine until all of a sudden i saw a big cloud of smoke out the rear, had a look and noticed tranny oil running like out of a tap, seemed to coming out the bottom of the bellhousing inspection hole, i have reverse and it feels fine but have lost all forward gears, doesnt seem like 'd' or any forward gears engage? Any ideas on what has happened? Im guessing its a seal that has gone pretty bad and now have no pressure to engage? Am i looking at a major rebuild or just seals??? Thanks in advance for any help

Thanks guys will try and drop the tranny this weekend to see the damage, in terms of partial rebuild, Vern will i be looking a the 'A' clutch in particular?
