Thread: Front door wont open

I have a front driver door the wont open

I have the door skin off and can get at everything but no amount of lever pulling or coat hanger wire jiggling will unlock the latch.

The Door locks work, but it is like it is stuck in Lock regardless of the door lock being in the unlocked position

I have tried this thread Front doors difficult to open -is there a fix? but no luck

Anyone got any ideas as i have run out

The door originally closes nicely without effort and did open reasonably nicely

Ok... I got it open

There is a largish metal pin that slides up ( connected to a return spring ) on top of the lock mechanism

Just a matter of a coat hanger down the glass with a hook and pull it up

Not sure why it wouldnt open but works fine now, closed with a light touch and opens easly
