Thread: Possible turbo whine?

Evening all,

have noticed that recently when accelerating there is a noise that sounds like turbo whine coming from the left hand side of the car. Originally I suspected it to be the stereo as I have had issues with alternators and un-shielded speaker cables.

Has anyone else had this issue? And is it an easy one to solve?

Similar issue, not overly noisy but seems to rise and fall with acceleration and slowing. Looked around the turbo hoses to find the one to the intercooler was split in the elbow. Fixing it however did not seem to make a lot of difference to the noise.
