Terrafirma Rock Sliders w/ Tree Bars ... anyone have these on a D1?

I've thrown out the idea of a heavy steel rear bar for now because I really don't need one, but my wife being the petite little darling that she is has wanted a side step on the Disco for ages and since we'll be tripping in it soon I wanted to sort one out, and thought I'd put on a decent set of rock sliders that will double up as a side step for both of us.

The only one that I can find that's in production (or that there might be old stock left of) is the Terrafirma ones, and it seems Les Richmond sells them.

Just wondering if these are a good fit and are decent?

The only thing I can think of that might be sitting around near the sills is an LPG tank for my D-gas conversion, not sure if that would get in the way or not.

I would much rather support someone like that and have been trying to find someone to make me some, but like you said the vehicle is getting on a bit and nobody seems to make stuff for them here in Melbourne. Found a couple of great looking things up north but too far and they want the vehicle to make something. I'll try him, never know, cheers

Tried them but even he said that he could make one, but he hasn't made anything for a D1 in years and would have to get the jig ready to go again, so a $700 product goes up to around $1000, still that's not too bad a price.

I'm onto Les Richmond Automotive here in Melbourne and they might have something, either a Terrafirma or one they make themselves. Around that same ball park price.
