As the D1 is getting on im sure ben would have a jig to knock some up for you![]()
I've thrown out the idea of a heavy steel rear bar for now because I really don't need one, but my wife being the petite little darling that she is has wanted a side step on the Disco for ages and since we'll be tripping in it soon I wanted to sort one out, and thought I'd put on a decent set of rock sliders that will double up as a side step for both of us.
The only one that I can find that's in production (or that there might be old stock left of) is the Terrafirma ones, and it seems Les Richmond sells them.
Just wondering if these are a good fit and are decent?
The only thing I can think of that might be sitting around near the sills is an LPG tank for my D-gas conversion, not sure if that would get in the way or not.

I would much rather support someone like that and have been trying to find someone to make me some, but like you said the vehicle is getting on a bit and nobody seems to make stuff for them here in Melbourne. Found a couple of great looking things up north but too far and they want the vehicle to make something. I'll try him, never know, cheers![]()
X2 for apt. I made my own using parts from them.
Tried them but even he said that he could make one, but he hasn't made anything for a D1 in years and would have to get the jig ready to go again, so a $700 product goes up to around $1000, still that's not too bad a price.
I'm onto Les Richmond Automotive here in Melbourne and they might have something, either a Terrafirma or one they make themselves. Around that same ball park price.
May be apt should take them off their website then.
Kingpin Designs is another.
