300 TDI viscous fan spanner size

It was reported on another thread the spanner needed to remove the viscous fan is a 32mm for the 200 TDI. Is it the same for the 300 TDI?

    I got mine off ebay for about $20, 32 one end(300 Tdi) and 34 other end(D2 V8).

Alternatively, you could make one from a strip of flat bar, about 5mm thick.
A slight kink at the open end to assist with keeping the spanner end located straight onto the hub nut.
And just remember it's reverse threaded.
And when fitting, don't try to tighten it.
I just spin mine on(what feels like undoing it) by hand till it stops, and it tightens itself every time, so it needs a slight crack/whack to remove every time.
    Arthur.

All these discos are giving me a heart attack!

Ditto this, and use some anti-seize on the threads.
It's so easy to tap off if you do this.
