    Vacuum pump question

Hi all, the story of the Disco woes continue. I thought that I had it beat, but when I went to clean some old oil leaks away for rego, I saw oil dripping from the vacuum pump. Now I am aware of the fix for these and I drilled out the rivets of an old one that I removed some time ago and I will be picking up some m5 bolts and lock nuts in the morning. It looks to be in good condition, with the valves looking clean and the seal looking good also. What I want to know is how hard should the plunger be to depress? Should I be able to depress it by hand or not?

    Thanks,
    Tom

Cost difference between Britpart and Genuine seals: £2.04. Knowing that your brakes won't fail at any moment: Priceless.

    good to know.

I reckon I'll have to do mine soon too.

Mine leaks sometimes, then not for a while.
makes no sense .. driving me nuts.

plan is to do it irrespective, to eliminate it as a potential problem.
