    Hopefully.
Been reading up on later V8s and from what I can gather, some of the issues with the 3.9/4.0 litres overheating could be due to bad castings of the block, where the internal coolant gallery is not centred in the metal wall.
So the aluminium cracks .. seemingly looking like a liner problem. This issue appears to be with the later motors(but I think this means more likely D2 V8s less so D1 era .. dunno).
But later doesn't always equate to better. Hopefully in your situation tho it will!

Are the torque settings the same for D2 as D1?
The rave cd i got off aulro does not have a D1 option.

Most appear as i would expect except the 270 nm Crank Shaft Pulley Bolt. Taking the old one off it did not feel nearly that tight.

Sounds like you have the RAVE II CD?

Same torque values on D1 V8 as for D2 V8 tho .. as you said, 270Nm for the pulley bolt.

Engine is in and bolted to box. New mounts in and bolting some last things on. Expect to be firing up the bugger tomorrow all things going well.
Got a question if i can.

There is a spacer behind the power steering pump and between the head on these isnt there? Like a lifting point and spacer in one.

    Cheers Andrew.
