    1993 discovery restoration

I'm doing up a manual 1993 4 cylinder discovery for my first car and was wondering if anyone knows where I can get parts for a nearly 30 year old car

    it needs
-power steering needs to be fixed
    -new radiator
    -new seats
-interior carpet needs to be replaced
-drivers side door handle is busted
-wheel bearings and suspension needs doing
-and probably more but only time will tell

last time it worked was about 10 years ago give or take a year or two i got it for free
any help on where to get parts would great thank you the parts need to have postage

    1993 discovery restoration

    Gday mate
    Congrats on the freebie.
    I assume it’s a 200tdi.
There are a range of UK parts suppliers which are a good online source, subject to transport costs.

There are also good Australian sources for online purchases.

Locally you have RadRover (Don Radkey) in Drayton, MR auto in Redcliffe and British Off-road at Forest Glen. These all wreck land rovers and so are a source for used parts.

There’s also AULRO market place, Gumtree, FB market place for used parts.

Is yours a two/three door D1. If so not very common anymore. I dont remember seeing a 3 door in a 200tdi.

So you might have quite a find.

    I have a 93 2/3 door 200tdi sitting in my shed. I think the 200 is a better motor than the 300.

Good luck with your project and post some pics as you go.

Door handle? Exterior? Pretty sure that's the same as the Range Rover classic and can be hard to find except from a wrecker.

Seats? If it has the rubber diaphragm, I'm not sure they are are still available.

Wheel bearings and seals are readily available.

Seals RTC3511 Hub Oil Seal - KLR Automotive
Bearings RTC3429 Wheel Bearing - KLR Automotive

You will also need lock washers:

Front (if it has the 5mm wide keyway): 217353 Hub Nut Locking Washer, Square Key - KLR Automotive

If flat, you'd need the same as the rear.

Rear: FTC3179 Hub Nut Lock Washer, Half Moon, Late - KLR Automotive ('92 onward)
There is another lockwasher for pre-92 so you need to be sure which one you need:
FRC8002 Hub Nut Lock Washer, Crescent, up to '''92 - KLR Automotive

GQ front axle? Did you run GQ or LC80 in the rear?

Yes, Karcraft are good. Can one search their site? Pressing the search button didn’t seem to work for me.
