200Tdi lift pump leaking and replacement options

    Hi All,

Have a new to me 200Tdi Disco with a leaky diesel lift pump.
About a drop every 5 seconds at idle.

Looking around at replacement seems the ALLMAKES/BEARMACH/BRITPART STC1190 is the only easily available option in Australia.
Has anyone had experience/issues with the quality of these?
How long do they usually last?
    Any other options or suggestions?

    Thanks in advance,
    Dan

I bypassed it and converted to electric. A couple of years now in my disco 200 and no issues.

They’re a bit hit and miss, depending on where the particular part is sourced from. Unless you’re determined to keep it original I would second the electric pump option.
