No start after head and timing belt

Hi all, new to Discovery ownership. I've just replaced my head and decided to do the timing belt at the same time. Now it's all back together the engine won't start. At first I thought it was the starter as it sounds like it isn't cranking properly however the berries are turning and crank shaft spinning. There is a whining type noise after it sounds like it almost cranks. Any suggestions and help appreciated.

    Thanks

Is the fuel solenoid 12V connected to the fuel pump, and clean and tight?

Is the battery good? And fully charged?

How much of the fuel system did you have disconnected? Just the lines from the injectors? Does it need bleeding?

Cam/pump timing? Did you use crank and pump locking pins? Did you turn it over two revolutions and recheck the timing?

    Tappets all done?

Loosen one of the injector lines and crank it, you should get fuel leaking out.
If you have fuel there, it really has to be timing.
