Chances are it is where the genuine trailer harness plugs into.
You'll probably find that you won't be able to get a genuine harness so just snip the plug off if/when you fit a trailer socket.
I found A plug under the landy on the long week end located under driver side rear quater panel it looks like for a trailer but it's too short.![]()

If u do need a trailer plug then before cutting it, I would contact Melbourne Towbars on 93385388 & speak to Alistar.
They may be able to make a plug for u & send it to u if need be.
These guys have made a few plugs for us previously.
Hope this helps.
Actually, the genuine harness is still available from your LR dealer.
Part # ANR3896 with a list price of $30.
Better hurry up - there's only 61 left.

Learn something new everyday....
I better hurry up then!!
Thanks mate.
Thanks for that I purchased a secound hand towbar from a Melbourne Land Rover wrecker a few weeks ago and just waiting on some spare time to clean it up and respray before bolting it on. I will contact my local LR Dealer here in Geelong to see if I can order one in.
I had a very big hunch it was for the trailer but just had to be 100% sure.
Thanks Guys.
The Isuzu 110. Solid and as dependable as a rock, coming soon with auto box😊
The Range Rover L322 4.4.TTDV8 ....probably won't bother with the remap..😈
Ok I called my local LR Dealer in Geelong and it's ordered thanks for that.
The also told me it has only one plug on one end and on the other is just wires so it will plug into the plug under the Landy but on the trailer side you need to wire the plug up yourself to suite your trailer and plug that you need.
Yes, that's right. There's so many plugs available that you just need to wire it up to whatever you choose to use.
