    snorkel / air filter issues

    Hi everyone

I have fitted a airflow snorkel to my 3.9 V8 D1 and I am having issues with the snorkel fitting properly into the side of the air box, I have the square air filter box.

Does anyone have an early diesel air filter, the round one with the air intake in the side of the filter box?

I havent seen any one fleabay for ages, so hoping that someone here has a spare one in the shed for sale.

    thanks in advance

ps. spend a few extra bucks and buy a decent snorkel, not one like mine. It was cheap for a reason .....it doesnt fit properly but thats just my opinion

    thanks mate, got them.

seems I have the rigid pipe between the end of the snorkel and the air box in the wrong place. I didn't get any fitting instructions with the 'kit' and after going back to the place I bought it, I was told it went inside the engine bay but it obviously doesnt. I like the way you have yours under the guard and then pokes out into the engine bay and directly into the air box. That will mean I can get the air box back over where it should be.

I had heaps of problems with it sealing, I think this may fix that problem.

heres a pic of how NOT to do it
