Hey Goldey. People have done it on here and I had a look today on mine because I'm doing the same thing.
I didn't see any spot which stood out either but if I work it out I'll let you know.
Howdy all,
Well, I have searched and found nought on the details I am chasing, so here goes.
Has anybody installed an inline "engine saver" low water alarm (ie cut radiator hose and install tube in hose) on a 300tdi Discovery?? What I'm interested in is where they have installed it?
Common sense says to put it in the top radiator hose, but finding a straight section long enough for it to fit is a bit of a worry! Just after some previous experience on placement of the sensor.
Thanks in advance everyone.

This is how I done mine , didn't need to be on a flat spot of the hose , actually mine is right on the bend , works a treat , as long as the low coolant sensor is pointing vertically down , will do fine.

That's roughly where I was going to put mine, but wasn't sure if the hose would fit after I cut it. Many thanks.
