    Seat Foam/Base

I have tried the search mode and couldn;t find what I wanted.
But I know someone recently has put up a where to buy and how much reply to someone.

Now the experts will say, what is this lunatic talking about!!

Just got back from my drive to sydney and beyond and the drivers seat base feels like i am sitting on a brick. after 1/2 an hour I get a numb bum as well as the peripheral sciatic nerve pain.

Recently someone put a reply up as to where you could locally get new seat foam specifically for a disco, does anyone remeber who it was or at least where I can get one?

    thanks

Mine is badly sunken as the previous owner was a very pleasant, slightly larger lady.

The part number is MXC7870, but I don't know of a price - I like the look of the exmoor trim part though Exmoor Trim & Trakkers.

    This-

    Or JDNSW's thread-
    110 seat cushions
    Seat repairs 110

Which I think led to an article in the magazine.

Had a look, can't find it.

    Seat base

I think a genuine foam base is ~$300 (don't quote me!)
The diaphragm can be repaired if you or your Mrs is handy with a sewing machine. I think that I contributed to a thread on this.
After repairing mine I still had to cut a piece of foam and put it under the cover to boost me up a little. I like to sit up high

    thanks fellas
    your on the right track,
I know I saw it, but it may not have been related to the post heading.
It was a L/r part no and the price was under $100.locally supplied

Thanks simon I had the right keywords for jd's articles but not the saggy one.

Tassie had a look at the other article may have a crack at it if i can't find a local source, My Mrs sew, thats funny, no I do all that.

Will wait and see first, whether the person who put the price and place up appears. before i start pulling seats apart.

    many thanks for your input.

    Seat base swap

Mate.... The seat bases are the same for both passenger and driver buckets, so if you're in a pickle for time you can swap them over. Real easy.

I got a seat cushion / swab from MLR for a bit less than $100 a few years ago.

    Foam for seat

    Hi John,

I know what you mean regarding the seat issue. My back was one of the main reasons I bought my Landy. (L5)

I just had my seat rebuilt. $140. "BE----RILL----E--ANT". Recommend to anyone. Like a new car. Dropped her in picked her up in the afternoon. Same seat just higher and now with Lumbar support.

I do on average 100ks each way to work, new seat no probs, at all. Sciatica gone.

I am on the Sunshine coast, that is where I got mine done. Happy to pass on details if it helps you in any way. PM if you would like details.

    Good luck otherwise.
