I have the same compressor and its mounted on the drivers side guard between the brake booster and the charcoal canister. Its sat there for about 1.5 years with no probs. I can take a pic tomorrow if you like.
My 98' V8 Disco is getting lockers back and front.
Mounting the compressor is giving me a few head aches though. I've opted for the smallest ARB CKSA12 unit which is designed solely to run a pair of lockers and nothing else. It can be mounted at any angle and the air intake can be remotely mounted to aide in drawing cleaner dust free air etc.
Has any one been adventurous in the mounting of their compressors other than underneath the bonnet?
Who has ARB compressors under the bonnet and what problems... if any... have you encountered?
Thx.

I love it when a plan comes together!

The website article I came across mentions that this particular compressor can be 'repositioned at 180 degrees'. What does that mean?
I also like the idea of being able to relocate the air filter intake....anyone done that yet or do you just let it suck away ay what air is inside the engine bay?
Any location pictures would be great thanks!
Regards.

Mine is same as above no probs.![]()
Mine is mounted on the passenger side between the air intake box and the windscreen washer bottle. Tight fit, but tucked out of the way. I was initially concerned about the underbonnet heat, especially from the turbo, but it's been powering for some time and never missed a beat. Use it often for airing up the tyres as well as operating the rear locker.
Cheers
Just arrived: 2012 D4 3.0 HSE, the journey begins again ;-).
Gone: 98 Disco 300tdi Auto, and some extras
Mines mounted on the drivers side wheel arch seems the best and most logical place to mount it.
I dont know if this is any good to you matey but under mine I have a battery size steel open case that LR welded to the passenger side chassis rail opposite the transfer case...dont know what its for but it might fit the bill...has anyone put a battery in it?
Cheers
I've got the full size compressor. The last model not the current one.
It sits between the break booster and the charcoal canister. It is a tight squeeze and I only have the rear locker (so only one air solenoid). However yours is much smaller so you won't have an issue.
