    What do you use or have been recommended to use and why?

    Penrite now with factory oil filter.
    Change every 7000k's. Cause its good, I get a 10W50 and motor has good oil pressure and engine runs cool. Not as cool as with 100% Synthetic but since I change oil so often, it does not really matter.

    Thanks guys!

    Just got a new set of filters yesterday, will give it a once over this weekend as I'm fitting new oil cooler hoses at the same time.

    Penrite i think it 40W. My lifters rattle a bit when hot and offroad so was recommended to try the thicker oil.

    I use Mobil/Repco oil in the Tdi with a repco filter . Have always used mobil and not about to change
