Picked up my roof lining today and installed this afternoon I took photo's for you guys to look at.

The back part of the roof lining is the floppy part and you need to watch that it doesn't bend too much as you might put a crease into the lining and it might show.

The man that has done this for me here in Geelong Victoria is Williamson Trimmers, 17 Lambert Ave, Newtown, you can call him on 03 52 214 760.

I hope that is a joke mate carpet or old stuff

It's new it's a material that does not have a foam backing and the only way it's going to come off is when the glue fails and this has not been the case with land rovers it's been the foam that has been failing not the glue so this will be stuck up there for donkey's years. It feels nice to touch too and looks so very new you can't help but touch it everytime your in my landy

looks pritty good!! is it the same colour as the old lining?
    it looks prity close
and its hard to tell from the photos but it looks kinda fluffy? dose this settle down with time or dose it not look to bad when its up there.
in any case looks a sh*t load better than a saggy bagy roof. supose the bloke couldent send one up to port hadland as i assume it would crumple and be stuffed.

Nah not really fluffy at all just looks like it. If you were to see it in person you would think wow this looks real good.

The guy has already done a few in Geelong and some Melbourne guys have come down as well and all were very happy with the result.

You would have to call the guy if you want yours done but I think by the time you send yours to him then him to you, you might have a damaged lining cause the backing LR made appears to be made of foam it's self unlike the other cars were the backing is made out of a type of card board type material it also explains why in the LR the lining fails so quickly.

I have one in sitting on the catwalk in my studio - free to anyone who comes to get it - it was re-covered by the PO of my car - I fitted twin sunroofs and the OEM lining. Currently the cats sleep on in ( it faces downwards so they sleep on the side facing the roof )- anyone want it?

I kind of like having my hood lining hanging down a bit! Bit like being in a Taj Mahal!

So what is the lining & backboard made out of ?

Is there enough strength in the lining to have more baskets like they have for the rear passengers?

Mine is beginning to sag in the corners where the twin sunroof's are. I was thinking of placing the same type of baskets to hold the lining in place.

I'm sure there are plenty of aftermarket baskets around of different sizes and shapes.
